Opened for Mark Farner, but never saw Grand Funk.

Also saw Clapton in the early eighties when he still had some of the guys from Derek & the Dominoes and Mad Dogs & Englishmen in his band. But, never Cream.

You’ve got Tull listed twice…no biggie…

Eight….if Page & Plant with JPJ and Jason playing all Zeppelin material counts as LZ, then nine.
The most repeated I’ve seen on that list is Rush…I stopped counting at 8x of seeing them. Pretty sure I got over a dozen of their shows through the years.
BÖC & Maiden 4 or 5x each.
AC/DC, Motörhead, and Aerosmith 2 or 3 each.

I’ll take a deep breath, the times I have lost count of. Many bands played cities 1 1/2 hrs. apart and gas was cheep back then.
Led Zeppelin
Jethro Tull
Black Sabbath 2 times , Never Say Die and 2003
Iron Maiden , Killers every tour until Somewhere in time and maybe 4 or more times after
Judas Priest , Stained Class to Turbo , Painkiller and about 4 times after. Multiple shows between cites.
KISS Alive, Destroyer
Aerosmith, Rocks
Rush from Farewell to kings through Hemispheres
Boston
Motorhead
Blue Oyster Cult
And Queen, A Night at the Opera

It was copy and paste , lol
9 times Zep? I’m not worthy. lol
Jason is blood, so to me it counts.

Oh no….(I was waaaaaaaaaaay too young when John Bonham passed) My answer to your question, “How many of these bands have you seen in person, live?”
I’ve seen eight of them. Unless P&P w/JPJ&Jason B count as Zep…then it would be nine.

I've only seen Sabbath and KISS on this list once each. The Sabbath wasn't even with Ozzy. I was never much a concert goer. I've seen a good amount but never frequented the activity.

I saw Phantom of the Opera once in Toronto as well.
I really wanted to be on a botulinum toxin drip that night.

I am quite the opposite, it was good I got to see all of these bands and a lot more when tickets were $20.
I know a young guy at work who paid $1000 to see Iron Maiden last year I believe at the Moda Center.
It’s expensive to be a fan now.
Festivals in Ca. We’re a regular ritual.
I don’t know who I really want to see now.
I heard Nevermore was being put back together by Jeff Loomis. Shred…

Concerts we have been to were all double digits. Once they passed $100 bucks. No ones worth that much to see. Actually $50 each may have been the most we ever payed.

One I wished I’d have taken in. Joe Bonamassa while he was a nobody. Could have seen him at Chicago House of Blues for basically nothing. Now what’s a ticket of his go for?
