Farm Truck

Dad's 396 CID "FE" engine in Parnelli Jones winning Torino at the 1968 Riverside 500. Sharp eyes will see Smokey Yunick's black & gold Chevrolet in the background.

That ain't nuthin', man. This is what I drove back in the early '80s in Austin: Beige 1972 Duster with three speed manual shift on the tree, man! ;) Interior was green and brown plaid. I had to fight the chicks off just to open the door to get in!

Goldie, What sucked the most was like I saw in the 510 pictured is the sad occurrence here in the East where road salt is used, RUST. That and having a hit and run driver rear end it in a parking lot eventually led to me being stupid enough to let the rolling chassis go to the crusher. Now even a rusty one of those will fetch $1000 on ebay

always wanted a late 40's MErc.---led Sled

So, we got the farm truck running good and then couldn't shut it off. We had to pull the steering wheel and replace the lock cylinder. While in there, we put in a new cancelling cam for the turn signals. Got a lot of stuff working on the old truck. We just have one A/C hose to replace and Pop will have A/C for the first time in 15 years!!!!
