Hah, speaking of teen rooms, I got to paint my bedroom walls lime green and the ceiling flat black. I had a strobe light, a rotating disco mirror ball with light (8th grade art project) and about a dozen of those road side construction blinker lights.
My dad said it took 3 coats of primer for them to repaint the room after I moved out.
That mirror ball was in the back of the station wagon I drove across cross country from MD to CA in 1976. It now hangs in my garage.
When I was about 16 my room was ready for a re-paint, I was foolishly told I could pick the decoration
Silver-frost ceiling with black wallpaper. The wallpaper has a fine white outline of a naked woman reappearing every 2ft.
When I left home the room was redecorated again, strangely the same week as I left, go figure???
