As long as you push them as hard as you possibly can and unleash the beast on your poor guitar, give it a whirl! Heavier the better! Post up your vids or sound clips of you going gonzo and pushing the limit of breaking noise ordnance laws and pissing off the entire neighborhood . In the words of Ted Nugent : " Anyone looking to get mellow can turn around and get the $!#% outta here alright?!?"

Only time my ears hurt from concert it was motorhead. When i left the venue my ears were ringing ding dog ding dong no one home :)

I had seen them several times over the years. When I saw them at Hammersmith in '10, I had to go to the front of the stage for a bit to check out the volume. It was the same as when I saw them at the mid sized club in Boston in '01. And the same as a theatre in '87. All the amps were on, and full bore. No fake poser cabs or amps.

They were real deal man, i loved the show. When they played kill by death that opening lead line gives happy ending type feeling, I was like someone just kill me now :)
