Examples of Other than Standard Telecasters

Don your Tele sounds great and its in tune to.I can hear foul notes.A curse or a blessing i inherited from my Father.

Thanks. When I finally went to collect it (down on the south coast about seventy miles away), David the luthier and a friend of his were playing it through a twin reverb - I had to pry it out of their hands.

I mean i didnt hear a single sour note ,Not i hear sour notes.Just that sentence is a little mis leading.

My "partscaster" Started life as a Tele kit someone else built. Used a paint brush to paint it. Picked it up off ebay for a song. Sanded it down to bare wood. Some stain and several applications of tung oil later and here is the finished guitar. I did change the bridge. Turned it into a string thru body setup. Killed the neck pickup so swapped in a new one. Installed a 4 way switch. Plays and sounds decent.

That's pretty - what does the 4th switch position do?

Positions 1,2 & 3 are normal tele. But where 2 puts the two pups parallel, 4 puts them in series. And you can hear the difference. 4 is a little humbuckerish. Is that a word?

It is now... OK, that makes perfect sense - you've given me an idea for mine, thanks.
