There was a ton of controversy over Knievel's jump over the Snake River Canyon on his rocket bike. I live only 3 hours from the canyon he jumped over and believe it or not the dude had a huge set of you know what. We have watched base jumpers parachute from the bridge the crossed the snake where he jumped his rocket bike and I'll tell you what, it is a VERY DEEP canyon. I thought he was incredible and nuts in the same sentence. There is a golf course at the bottom of the canyon. That will give you all a idea of how big and deep the canyon really is.

Evel did have some spectacular crashes. Well done Travis Pastrana. Now this is a motorcycle jump, Aussie Robbie Maddison breaking his own world record to set the current world record for longest motorcycle jump
