Good Morning! I am happy to report nobody lost a home in this fire. Thus far a couple of fences are the only casualties.

Our home is not on the perimeter, but it was in the 'danger zone' so to speak. We were in the first group to get the evacuation directive.

I took only the double neck with me, as all the others could be replaced more easily.

In our area, we routinely have 35-40mph winds with gusts to 70-80mph, and those greatly accelerated the fire's progress. We often see big rigs blown over on their sides here and stop sign posts kinked.

We got the 'OK' to return home at 2:59am...

Glad to hear the danger has passed you by. But I know that even when your own property didn't burn down the effects of smoke can be unpleasant and lasting. I hope the clean-up doesn't take too long.

What really pisses me off to no end, is the scumbag looters. If they get caught red-handed, they should be catapulted right back into the middle of the fire...
