Mine was lifting and leaning more of a tilt toward the head stock than this one I compared at the store before I took it to the Gib Warranty guy, I still was not happy with the luthier's repair, so I redid it myself with dowels and redrilling and well seated bushings in very tight holes.

I paid maybe $370 ish out the door for mine new back in 2012. It was a 2010 model I believe. But, I knew mine had good bones. When the new ones with Gib parts came out and were like you said, closer to $500+, they better be top notch if I were to think about buying one at that price.'
My blind friend alerted me to these models that he heard my mom and pop shop had about 5 or 6 of. He wanted me to go and check em out and give him my reviews because he obviously cannot see. I told him of the fillers in the inlays and the Tailpiece anomalies. Nope, I will take a $600+ SG before paying almost that much for an EPI with flaws.

Ive paid 600 for Gbison SG's that had bad pickups brand new out of the box.....
Ive seen others buy SEVERAL 600.00 new SG's that flat out wouldnt intonate...

ANy brand has stinkers-- and they can come at ANY price point--- I belive that is why we tell members--- PLAY IT before you PAY IT ....or buy from folks like sweetwater-- and if its wrong they TAKE IT BACK ;)
