Epi Flying V Makeover

I have decided to turn my new V into a blackout monster. The first tools in this project showed up today, with the last of them due by the 29th. Here is a before pic to refresh everyone's memory:

The Dean Lights out bridge pickup came in today, along with the brackets:

I'm expecting the black replacement string through plate tomorrow, and the Lights Out neck pickup on Wednesday. I hope this turns out as awesome as I have it in my minds eye. I have no doubt the pickups will do the job.

I guess this isn't going to happen after all. I can't find a black pickguard that will fit. Several Gibson's didn't work and sent back. Same for the black metal string pass-through plate. The only good news is that the Dean Michael Schenker Lights Out pickups sound really, really amazing! So good that I ordered the bridge pickup for the Epi Explorer.

I can see the guitar pic, but I cannot see the pickup pic in your original post, Far... However, as I type this reply the exact opposite happens: I can see the pickup, but not the guitar... but when I post it, it goes back to seeing the first, NOT the second... Weird! Grant, any hint at what may be happening?

Again, I can only see the image in Preview mode.
