Eliminating high-pitched mixer noise

I am not proficient with such toolsets at present, but I guess it is time to learn. I am presently using 5 channels (inputs - but not at once), so I guess the next step up from 4 is at least 8. The second SOundcraft fits the bill. Any other suggestions closer to $ 200, or do you get what you pay for?
You kinda get what you pay for...
That Soundcraft has a PFL function for accurate level setting, multiple aux sends for external fx etc., per channel muting, on board fx, 6 mic preamps...just lots of traditionally good features.
The Mackie does have inserts though...nice to have if you plan on any insert fx ever...like a nice compressor.

I wanna know how your gear is routed, Ray.

Based on the Diagrams I posted from page 1, from your mixer company's instructions, are you following the order of hookup and components as spelled out?

I have three amps in the channels - 2 are routed via Weber attenuator DI out (and they do have tone stacks) and one ampo through the emulated out. Then I have a condender mic through an XLR input.

Yamaha, but at $200 you lose some features...
Yamaha MG10XU Mixer with USB and FX
But they make some nice solid gear.

And that’s why I PM’d you.

I am wondering, How is it limiting?
Also, why can't you use both a DI Box and a Zoom with Mixer?

Also, if as you said you didn't buy the Zoom 2 weeks ago, how is having a DI box limiting? I seem to understand it as it is almost essential to making your system quiet.

That 2nd video I posted seems very thorough as for why a DI is needed.

I would like one interface to handle all the hardware. I did not watch the video yet, but isn't the DI box for one piece of hardware? Also, you do not get the level adjustments, built in FXs and exterior FX inputs

not sure, Ray. LOL I just figured out what " DI" meant 5 minutes ago quite by accident and my imagination

Just to give you an idea of where I’m coming from, this is my main, studio, analogue mixer...(I can’t believe they still make it a decade later)...
Soundcraft GB2R 12-channel Mixer
Very versatile, and reliable.

My road mixer for the last few years is this one...

I really like it a lot.

But neither is a USB interface. I use other devices to record from these mixers digitally.
Nice gear! OK, Soundcraft seems like quality. I am on the hunt. Thanks!

Your last accident solved my problem!

So glad I opened your thread in the first place this morning despite knowing I had no freaking clue how to help when I did.
Asking the right questions on your components sure helped, as I was able to research what gear and software we were dealing with.
Thankfully good info was found on the web from there.

Those diagrams from the 1202 maker were invaluable
