been a rad 2 weeks, found 460 Big block in a motor home & c6, older heads with 75 cc to bring compression ratio up, today just brought home 1983 T-bird roller, ran 8.9's with 600 hp 460. All the street stuff is there so i can street it, wheels interchange with my Mustang GT so can get Antique tag & drive it on street. 9"rear, set up for powerglide 2 speed, cage, fiberglass hood, deck & anything not necessary gone..maybe 2400 lbs. being Foxbody Ford..all mustang stufff is applicable..lets go

What are your plans for the engine?
Its a newer 460 with EFI, only 43k on it. All thats coming off & simple top end quickie build.First build is just to set car up. Have older 75 cc heads to raise compression. Going to do a homemade port job. Have Edelbrock performer intake. basically going to match cam to the specs the heads come to. Sorta medium set up. Get this first set up to about 400 hp 485 torque & run it around home. Have 10 mile loop my house is on that goes along the river where many cars, trucks , cycles cruise. Can sit on my front porch and pretty much watch a car show almost everyday.

Next winter, complete tear-down & going for massive power with a build

I ran 429 SCJ for years in H-Stock class.

C8VE heads with 18mm plugs are what you want.

Use Isky 507- STA retainers with either Isky 805-DO or stock Big Block Chevy valve springs. Use Isky LC200 .070" lash caps.

Use Manley 42166-8 guideplayes with stock length, 5/16" push rods.

Big Block Chevy rocker arms (1.72 ratio and with a more efficient fulcrum) drop right on with stock BBC rocker studs...

Very cool info in that range for sure.Basically putting together over winter what i have on hand. Learn the car, run a few passes. Then next year is crank up build to about 800 hp.
