The El Mocambo is a live music and entertainment venue in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Located on Spadina Avenue, just south of College Street, the venue has played an important role in the development of popular music in Toronto since 1948. It is best known for the 1977 surprise show by The Rolling Stones

I used to drink there over 20 years ago and all I remember is the smell of urine consistently in that place. It wasn't as big as I thought but I think it has three floors...something like with 'Steve's Music'. I see they renovated the El Macombo...no more piss smell & sweat like it used to be. They took away it's character now...the place has no soul! It's a crying shame.

Yes it is John, It has a lot of great history in that building..I haven't been there, but i have friends who have and seen some good bands ...

If I’m not mistaken, that is where Maggie Trudeau was seen hanging with the Glimmer Twins!
