First day. this is a song, or a chord progression I've had lying around for a while. There are lyricss to it and an idea for a melody and I figured I'd at least make an instrumental version by the end of this week.

Here's a very rough sketch for day one. No fancy bridges or anything, just the chord progression and some ideas for how to start it.

All sounds you hear were made on Deathrtrap, there are no other instruments or virtual instruments.

Nice job buddy
Has a spooky vibe to it , like having to take a walk that you don’t want to arrive at the destination. :2Thumbs: :strat:

I thought that sounded great.

Thanks man. I think it was sloppy and it's sooo hard to groove like Jimi.

It's a lovely song though and the chord progressionnis oh so sweet. We've played it a couple of times but I really want to find my own version of it at some point.

If I might offer a bit of constructive criticism: Slow it down. You are playing it really fast (much faster than the original), and rushing through it.

All of the proper chords, notes, and changes are there, but if you slow it down you may find it easier to lock into the groove that you are looking for.

The good news is: if you can play if that fast, playing it slower should actually be easier. ;)

Thanks man! Yeah, it's a bit fast. I usually have more problem playing things to a slow tempo than to a medium tempo because I have timing issues and find the timing harder. It's less forgiving at 60bpm than at 100 :D
