OCD is as much a disorder as those who will endure a bad Gibson and sing its praises because of the name on the headstock - much the same as some will tolerate a cheating wife/girlfriend because of her beauty.

Yes, I have a genuine USA Gibson - my students play it.

I am very, very particular about things. Its just a part of me. I have played all kinds of guitars, but I play better and I find myself much more creative if I am completely comfortable with the body shape and neck profile/scale length and I am not fighting poor intonation, noise and other anomalies....

Reason number one why I am going to build my own Stratocasterr-esque guitar from scratch.
