DSL HELL

No need for a schematic third world soldering and three bad tubes like I said sounds just like the Marshall video.

The next amp sounds great 1969 Park/Marshall 75 just needed a couple of filter caps.

I was considering the schematic to cure the sound quality of the overdrive channel, which many people consider horrible.

Although people really like the sound of DSL amps, the design has been plagued with numerous technical failures.
DSL amps do not have a reputation for reliability....rather they have a lot of issues.

But despite the remarkably poor performance record, people keep fixing them and playing them.
Because they like the sound.
(Pretty much the same as Mesa Boogie) Mesa amps have very similar problems.

I test amps with a strat when I ran the DSL-15 through the motions the clean channel was thin lacking mid range the overdrive channel
sounded like a buzz saw. Tonight after band practice our bass player wanted to play the DSL-15 I let Joe play my 1958 Gibson flying V
Well I dialed it in the best I could Joe liked it I got the clean channel sounding well but the overdrive channel lacked clear definition as real PAF
pickups are known for the last time I played that guitar was 2003 with a 1968 Marshall Super Lead 100 what a sound
Next played through the 1964 Fender Concert amp very good next the Green Hornet amp my favorite amp well unbelievable 3-D sound
I understand it wasn't fair to put the DSL-15 up against the other two amps but it is what it is.
I did play the DSL-15 as far as the repair it's fine it didn't work when I got it. They had a DSL-15 head for sale local for $90.00
When I consult with a customer first I look at resale value same thing if I'm buying a guitar or drums if I sell it should be a profit involved
example the Mesa MK-3 100 watt the customer didn't want to spend the money on the repair I offered $200.00 got it had the tubes in stock
it needed a power transformer well had one in stock at this point into it $750.00 plus my time sold it $1200.00 if my charge out time is a factor
No profit. Next the 300B customer called and wanted to give me a blank check whatever it takes I said no need don't charge until the job is finished.

Have a great day.
