Last night I dreamed that other people and I were running around the dim hallways of a large hospital, desperately trying to find an elevator that worked.
By the way, if the word "desperate" comes from the word "despair", then why is is not spelled desparate? Where does the 'e' after the 'p' come from?

Another repeating dream I have, is my late father bumbing into me in a random crowd, in a bank, at a grocery store, or places like that. He never says a word, just smiles and maybe gives me a quick hug, and then vanishes into the crowd. A wonderful dream, It always saves my day.
Unlike you, I do own a ban hammer . Let me know if you would like to see my carpentry skills

I am not implying anything here, just trying to lighten the mood.
I laughed at your audacity to make a comment like that. I work for a living and it takes up a great deal of my time and because I can't read every post every minute, I have a great team of moderators that do keep an eye on this place. When I do get the time to post in here, I will do so as time permits.
Previously you had made comments stating that you found things here to be unacceptable and not the way a forum should be run. As if you were the person that built this site. Then you made a "funny" about banning me. I returned your "funny" with my own "funny". I got a great chuckle from it, even more so than your "funny".
Where is your sense of humor? If you can dish it out, I would expect you to take just as much as you dish out, no? Now do you understand

My sense of humor is more intact than you're aware, and I can take much more than I dish out. In fact, I invite it... as long as I know it's a joke and we're having fun. However, your response seemed like an angry ban threat, and one step away from it. Nobody else laughed, and I honestly don't believe you were joking. I am sure that if I responded "Yes" to your invitation, you would have pulled the trigger.
As for my list of complaints, I'm sorry that you took it as personal criticism, and I apologize if I've offended you. I was trying to be helpful by bringing some things to your attention, not piss on your forum, nor challenge your authority. I would have hoped you'd address my list directly with me, as that's how I'm used to working with our moderators on the MF.
Moreover, please consider why I am spending time here at your place: our great community is nearly destroyed because a corporation came in and basically told us to put up or eat
. They are doing this to many good forums across the Web. There are things that are unacceptable there now, nobody listened, and many have left over VirticalScope's failure to address virtually any of the complaints and suggestions offered.Incidentally, it appears that at least one of my complaints here was addressed: the 7-day limit on post edits is now lifted? I'm not 100% sure if it's true yet, but if you did address it, then thank you.
FWIW, I think you have a great forum, and I congratulate you on your work and your success.
Is there anything else you would like me to say, or that we should discuss?

Actually, I did sort of chuckle when I read it the second time, but I figured that any 'reaction' could be construed the wrong way so I simply avoided responding. I see both sides to that, absolutely.

I read your post about losing your car in a dream and the first thought that came to mind was Dude where's my car. I actually did not see your last comment to someone else warning him. Seeing as how I was working at that time, I was unable to search for an image and post it in your thread at that time. Later when scanning through recent threads, I came across your dream thread and had the time to find that image and I posted it before reading the whole thread where I realized I was not the first to make this this association. Although you signed up to this forum a while back you did catch my attention when my first interactions with you I found to be a bit abrasive. So therefore I responded to you tit for tat.

I can absolutely be abrasive. It comes from working with a lot of ***holes in IT for 25 years.
I should have addressed you privately, as is my usual policy and preference. However, at that time I wasn't familiar with you. Next time, I will address you privately.
Just catching up with this thread now. Biddlin was my friend! I had and have a great amount of respect for the man. We did not agree on politics and his political viewpoints expressed here on this forum are what got him banned by my former partners. My former partners are alive and no longer wish to participate here, that is by their choice. Biddlin would be welcome here now if he were still alive. His political view points would not be welcome be they blue or red, however his knowledge in music is greatly missed by me and many others. Be advised that this is interaction #3 with me and the 3rd time you have ruffled my feathers. Take the hint and proceed with caution.
