REPLICA
Some cool Toranas getting about lately, I never think they may be original.

This is a very good idea & one I have thought about (& researched) a bit. I know that many of the "replica's" getting around are in looks only. If I did a replica I'd like to do it properly. As the A9X was a homologated car this isn't hard to do, & Harry Firth has published what he did to create the Bathurst spec cars so it is do able. Alex _SG, I can imagine you now regret selling a Limited Edition LX Coupe. Very nice cars. IIRC there was only 500 or so built, & there ain't too many of em left. CheersOne word for you ...
REPLICA.

I have a set of Whitworth (BSW) spanners and sockets that were essential 40 years ago when I rode BSAs and Enfields, but I don't think they've been out of their leather pouches since I did the last timing adjustment on my 650 BSA twin. Jimmy Carter was president. A few of my old bikee mates still remember those bikes and the tools. A couple of hours ago, when a guy who looked like he had ridden across the Mojave desert in a rain storm came sputtering into my driveway on a 1955 Matchless 500 twin, I had a pretty good idea what he wanted. I let him borrow 'em, he got it sorted, but I turned down his offer to buy the whole lot. Is it weird to be sentimental over a tool kit? I gave him a source in the SF Bay area for such nostalgica.
