I truly think it is the best gear investment I ever made. Also, the upgrades are plentiful, free and useful. This purchase keeps givingVery cool and very informative. The Kemper's technology and its results is mind-blowing. I don't know whether to love it, or hate it...![]()
One of these days, perhaps soon, a lawyer is going to represent the original manufacturer of their amps that have been "profiled" and demand royalties...I truly think it is the best gear investment I ever made. Also, the upgrades are plentiful, free and useful. This purchase keeps giving
Can you own a tone? Either way, it is a good line. One of these days, perhaps soon, a lawyer is going to represent the original manufacturer of their amps that have been "profiled" and demand royalties...![]()
Since there can be/are more factors to the profiling chain(mic’s, preamps, mixer, speakers, cab’s, room etc), the actual end resulting profile becomes the sum of many possible variable contributors. One of these days, perhaps soon, a lawyer is going to represent the original manufacturer of their amps that have been "profiled" and demand royalties...![]()

It will be a feeding frenzy!Hey!!!! If there's money to be made, it's going to happen...![]()

As of late manufacturers take to controlling analog signals in a tube amp with microprocessor chips. The chips are programmed with proprietary software that presumably is patented...In reflecting on this further, of al the amps we hold in such esteem, I do not know of a single one that has any patented parts. Dumble, Fenders, Marshalls, are all a combination of circuits which cannot be patented to my understanding. I would be interested to hear more about this from the members who know amp history.
InterestingWell... Randall Smith of Mesa Boogie is a patent king for starters!
Nice find!
