Well, i was raised in Detroit, gulf-area Tejas is ridiculously humid, and i'm getting old enough that having family close is a comfort. My son lives here, been too any years apart, so, i'm here now too. Sill have m Texas 'accent' (wrong; they have the accent, i speak properly).

Our daughter---SOn in Law and 3 grandbabys live in Manchester NH --- I mean --- the entire collectoive of New England is what a 14th th size of Texas??? So in Texas terms them yer neighbors!!!

My dad lived in Detroit for many years and has had dual citizenship and I always wear a Detroit Tigers baseball cap. Unfortunately my father passed away in 2001 of November at the age of 85. He's up in the heavens watching over me.

I’m on the South Shore. Probably a little less than an hour South of you. I work within 15-20 minutes of you, one day a week though.

Off the top of my head...
Matt’s Music is down in Weymouth...30-45 minutes south of you...if you like the boutique stuff.
Weymouth also has South Shore Music/Dicenzo’s Drum Shop...in Weymouth Landing.

Edit: there are a couple of Guitar Denters around you too...Braintree, and Boston.

Some of us....not all of us though.
I try to venture in to Texas style on occasion, but the cuts of meat are expensive around here. Pork is usually more reasonable.
I haven’t seen a good Texas style BBQ joint around here in a few years though.
