Does anyone play Electric only

^^^^ Cool story and pics, Col. Do you still have that Gibson acoustic?

Stolen in like 1978... along with my 65 Fender Twin Reverb and an old Orpheum arch top jazz guitar that was my father's.
They didn't get my bass, (which might have been what they were after)... it was in the trunk of the car. That Gibson acoustic
was my first "good" guitar. Made in Kalamazoo in about 1962 or 63, for the folk craze.

Here I am with it in like 1968... college student, kamikaze pizza driver,
a joker, a smoker, a midnight toker... on the campus of University of Michigan
tryin' to keep my mind on studying, in the midst of everything.

Though I have both,
I tend to play solid body electrics way more than acoustics.
It's just easier and there are more options.
But in the grand scheme of things, even my acoustics and resonators are "electric"
all having pickups of some sort, piezo and magnetic.
So yes, I only play electrics.

So now I have to agree with him... My acoustics can be played unamplified,
but onstage they are all plugged in, so yes, in that sense... I play only electric.

I have a dreadnaught six-string acoustic, a Greg Bennett (Samick), no cutaway, pickup, or preamp. I occasionally pick it up. It is like my bass in that respect. I have one in case I want to play it but I don't get the urge very often.

99.995% electric ---bass or guitar--- I have an acousitc.......I like it -- I have yet to sell it-- its an Epiphone from the famed NORLIN era --- love it--- but I dont play it much at all......also have a Harmony Montclair (THANKS HACK) big ol F hole Jazz box hollow body gal........sounds like angels but I dare not mess it up --- it is hermetically sealed and stored in a secret location guraded by dogs--- guns--- hostile property owners-- and an ATTACK PARROT!

Acoustic guitars...

I owned the 89th guitar to ever come out of the Ovation factory for decades.
(Serial # 00089) Deep bowl, no cutaway, no electronics. It didn't even have a
model name. The label said "The Ovation guitar # 00089". I almost never played
it because I play even worse on an acoustic. I finally sold it sometime last year.
I got pretty good money for it and the purchaser was super happy.
I play only electrics now and am considering a Godin Inuk.

a Godin Inuk
