Do you look at your fretting hand when you play?

Curious what everyone does. I do about 50% of the time, but I think I should begin doing it more often.

It depends. Usually, I'm looking at t he drummer and bass player. I'm usually more worried about what they are doing. Sometimes I look at my hands.

Waaaay too much. Sadly got in the habit many years ago before I knew what I was doing. Now it is hard to break. I should work on it.

Edit: and some songs I’ve practiced so much I don’t look at either one.

I have to see my fingers on a fretboard and/or keyboard. I was just doing some computer work and was using my small left finger and left index finger to use keyboard short cuts. I use Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V a lot. Tonight I was using Ctrl + B and Ctrl + N using the same two fingers and thinking to myself this is a good finger stretching exorcise. Next I wanna try Ctrl + M on one of my next projects. OK, end of geekiness., carry on.

Typically if I am playing chords I don't look at my hands unless I am moving my fretting hand more than 4ish frets. Probably 50 percent of the time when doing single string stuff. I rarely look at my picking hand. I watch TV a lot while I'm playing.

I shot that squirrel video on Monday. He was about 4 feet from me in a 6 foot tall pine.

Not sure about the percentage, but yes I do.
Some songs are so burned in feel wise that it's not required. But some are not that burned in.
One thing that forces the burn in is singing, and I sing maybe half the songs in the band.
