Do you have hobbies other than guitars, gear, or music.

I like to make my own candles.

Here is a recent double-wick candle.

It‘s made from soy wax, which burns with practically no odor at all and no detectable smoke. Since soy wax has practically no inherent odor, it’s great for using with other scents.

This is going to be my next one.

This is a mug I bought from the thrift store for 99 cents.

I’ll maybe make another double-wick candle and add some scenting, but I haven’t decided what I want to use, yet.

Not any more, to be honest.

I was an avid cyclist for many years but lost the passion for it somewhere along the line. I very rarely get on a bike these days.

I was an avid skateboarder up until about 5 years ago, when I got a hernia from it and the Dr. warned me to quit unless I wanted another. Have not been in a skatepark or pool since.

I started collecting watches around the same time I stopped skating and that was fun for a while because I find the movements endlessly fascinating, but that interest too has waned. I've sold off my most expensive pieces for profit and kept the midrange ones and don't really have the desire to buy any more for some reason.

Guitars have been the one constant in my life for the last 44 years and I suspect that will never change. Even if one day I am no longer able to play I would think I would still have some around just because they are like old reliable companions that have never let me down and I have never forsaken.

Photography is the biggie for me. Been messing w cameras for about as long as guitars, over 40 years. I just like to shoot... stuff... whatever. Lately been playing with dramatic studio lighting. I enjoy creating.
Also taking out my telescope.
You guys have seen lots of pics here.

Hmm, i dont know if I have any REAL hobbies outside of fumbling my way around the guitar awfully lol

Besides owning and reading an insanely ridiculous amount of books and watching an alarming amount of movies; i suppose i got a few things i do a bit and like but only two stand out that i can think of right now.

I got real into homebrewing a while back and went all in on it for a good while. I never had the full on CO2 kegging systems but did it the old school way of using priming sugar syrup + wort ( Malt, Grains, Water, Hops and Yeast) and then individually capped and bottled each batch. I made about 8 24pk cases the first year i got into it, with everything from Cream Ale, Irish Red, Amber Pilsner and even a XX Stout ( homemade Guinness that clocked in at about 9.8%). These days i might do a couple cases if that, but i still enjoy it. Even dabbled in winemaking a lil too.

The other thing began as a joke and has morphed into something i now kinda regret starting: Pumpkin Carving lol. Started out doing simple designs and then i began seeing how much more detailed i could get with it and ultimately, won a local contest back to back years with it. Obscure huh?
