Do Power Tubes Have a Particular Sound???

I wonder who turns the coil for weber? Heyboer, maybe Mercury Magnetics , no matter since it probably proprietary anyway! Sure looks purdy though
AFAIK, Weber sell their own brand and Heyboer. This is a good place to get Heyboer trannies at a fair price. For many years I've heard that the Weber branded trannies are built in China, and are decent for the money.

I've used Heyboer in many builds, no complaints. Weber Iron never looked quite right to me and I couldn't figure out what it was that was bothering me about that, well you confirmed it when you mention the " C " word! Many Thanks for that :hmmm:

in post 88 they make a thud sound ..............

this guy is WAY TO HAPPY ABOUT THIS SITUATION

so apparently --- you poke tubes with sticks-------- if they use a hammer it will FIX the tube ---quick

I liked both sounds although they were very different.

The classic British rock sounded a lot nicer with 'valves 1' whereas I liked the modern metal sound of the 'valves 2' - pretty much depends on what music you're gonna play and what your personal preference is. It'd've been nice to hear them on cleaner tones too.

I did wonder how he made the video, and whether or not it's a complete fake.

Ooooh....New Word Day!

I've a master's degree in applied linguistics, and I'm really crap at spelling, so knowing how the English language is formed, and how flexible correct usage can be I'm happy talking utter crap and using the appropriate words aswellas joining them together in non-conventional, but possible (in a correct way) forms. Actually, they don't even have to be correct, English moves... :D
