How about a different circuit in the house - like on another breaker line - in another room, etc? Could have something kicking in/out on the line or similar...

Was it through a confirmed “different household circuit”?(different breaker)
For example; circuit breaker #10 on my board runs through five rooms of my house...mostly ceiling fixtures, and a few outlets peppered throughout...

All I know is in my experience one part of house electrical wiring can have/develop issues that other parts don't and sometimes devices start start having problems, or new items added, that cause amps to have noise issues (both constant and intermittent). Simply plugging an amp in another area of the home (or paying attention to what may or may not be kicking on/off at the same time) may resolve the noise issue, reducing the problem area some. I lived in one home that the front circuit had clean power and the rear had dirty power that was causing issues with computer type electronics over time and actually causing damage to them...

Just my personal experience is all...

Sadly, a transformer isolated power supply may be the alternative answer to a household rewire job to eliminate(kill it dead) the issue.

NO!!

While I can't guarantee this will fix your issue, I will say it isn't worth it to go cheap. Furman is a great name. Furman, Middle Atlantic, and SurgEx all make great power conditioning products. This is one area where going cheap isn't worth it.

@eSGEe turn your amp on so that it makes the offending noise...then unplug each electrical device in the house, one at a time, and find the culprit.
