Dimarzio PAF Pro

I scored this on ebay from seller gibsondependable.
It is old and shows some oxidation / patina.
I have purchased a few things there; he mostly parts out whole guitars.

This is the most articulate neck HB pickup I have ever played.
It is somewhat bright and so much better than the other, albiet budget / import OEM neck pickups I have.
It has a really nice woody woo wooooo neck type sound.

I have read folks are really freaked about replacing pickups or electronics on a hollow / semi-hollow guitar.
It is a bit tricky but I did not find it frustratingly difficult.

Those locking type tweezers are really good tools.

Yeah, I had a PAF Pro and tried it in a couple of guitars. I totally concur - it was an exceptional pickup. Larry DiMarzio might be a dick but he does make good stuff.

Cool ! Have the PAF Masters in the Epi V. Dimarzio realy nailed the PAF line up..pick what range ya need & have at it.

Nice find. It looks like the 'hex' slugs on one bar have been replaced with 'flat-blade' slugs. Any Idea why?

Just played this again for an hour and a half; really liking it.
The neck is the PAF Pro with the hex slugs.
The bridge is a $20. Guitarmadness '57 Special; supposed to be close to a Gibson 57 Classic,
I like it just fine, but never played the Gibson "real thing" to compare it to.
