Digitech Bad Monkey...

I think one reason (or 2) that folks like the Bad Monkey is the four knob setup. It’s got a bass and treble pots where many other OD pedals only have the one tone pot. To my untrained ears, it just seems to give on a tad more adjustability.

That's actually very well said. The BD acts almost like an EQ and boost and I find it really shapes your sound to where you want it.

A U.S.A. made one? I didn't know that. How much for it and do you know how much they go for brand new...the U.S. one?

No idea about brand new. I got this for $45 shipped, but all other USA ones were closer to $100, so I grabbed iit. I read that the USA manufactured ones have all metal housings

So my 2 cents after a week with the Monkey. If you are looking for a pedal that puts out a nice blues tone no matter where it is set and without trying at all, this is for you. When pushed, it gets into the harder classic rock area (AC/DCish), but is never oversaturated. Anything "gainier" than that will be a struggle for this pedal. For me, it is a welcome addition.

That's a good review Ray. I'm glad you're enjoying your BD pedal. I'm getting a lot of use out of mine. I pair it with my BOSS Super Distortion DS-1 pedal that is modded and I get a great Marshall like sound. The Bad Monkey really adds character to your tone and with other overdrive/distortion pedals for a better presence and bass response. Overall it's just simply a great pedal for the price.
