also, what do you listen with, Studio monitors, headphones, car stereo or ?

Does the Bose seem to spread the sound vs a headphone or reg studio monitors? Maybe i mean does something slightly differennt happen to the mix in comparison. Used to be blown away when those Bose systems came out..the music seemed to be placed, not needing to be as loud to sound huge

It’s a high end Asus motherboard audio feeding a set of powered Bose speakers. I have the speakers about 4 ft apart on my desktop and when playing good audio I can “see” the band across the stage.

Thats is so cool. I understand that. When the system is that good it places you right there with the band !
 
If I'm listening to music it is on my Yamaha receiver with Polk Audio speakers. If I'm browsing the Internet it is my iPad with earbuds or my Mac Mini with some middle of the road Altec Lansing computer speakers, If I'm practising or learning a song it is my iPhone or iPad plugged into my mixer with some old Fender PA speakers or my Blackstar HT1RH on headphones.
