Be glad you don't have it. It's not as disgusting as Taco Bell but not far from it.

I love Mexican food. If I could only eat one cuisine for the rest of my days it would surely be (real) Mexican. My wife and I are moving to San Diego in a couple months, and literally the thing I am most excited about is the Mexican food, which is an order of magnitude better than even the Mex in Los Angeles, y'know, being on the border and all.

What about East L.A.?

Best part of LA for Mexican but not even close to what they got cookin' in SD.

Think of it this way: if there was a crappy rib joint in Memphis, how long do you think it would last? Or a crappy crab house in Baltimore? When the competition is tough the cream rises to the top.

Ok...

I really like Del Taco...while I agree its not real Mexican, allow me to explain.

I like to order a half pound, bean & cheese burrito, with extra cheese, adding onions and cilantro, with a side of diced jalapeños and they have my favorite soft drink - Barq's Root Beer.

The burrito is fast, cost about $2.00 and the beans are not made with lard.

Little Caesars....

Their $5.00 pizzas are abominable. However, I discovered that when I ordered a custom pizza, they even make them from a different ingredient bin!!!!

I order a mozzarella stuffed crust pepperoni with jalapeños, bell peppers, onions and mushrooms, it is actually on par with a $27.00 Round Table pie, but costs only $14.00.

Now, on weekends....we tend to hit some of the authentic taco places, but during the week.... :-)

yes......................exactly -- and NO "OLIVE GARDEN" ---thats not Italian -- at least its not what my Sicilian Grandfather and Roman (second Gen in US) Grandmother served thats for DAMN sure--its MARKETING ---

I am fortunate to have a small bistro local owned and operated by REAL ITALIANS called Palace Pizza in Lakeland --- went there for lunch today as a matter of fact -- love going there-- REAL Italian food -- the owner (70 years old smokes like a chimney-- and ONLY SPEKAS ITALIAN) makes the pastries by hand the cannoli's and tiramisu are STELLAR -- strombolis and lasagna off the CHAIN -- the pizza is damn fine (but "americanized" to make a $$$) --- I absolutely love sitting eating lunch and listening to the family argue (and discuss) and yell orders.......all in ITALIAN (some words I know and I can FOLLOW whats being said -- sure wish I had learned more from Grandpa, he spoke-- and SANG (opera) fluent Italian-- lead tenor at a large Catholic Church in Canton Ohio......miss la Famiglia--- and Palace Pizza gives me a LITTLE of that back each time I visit----- like going back to the family reunions I HATED going to as a kid........Uncle Al, Sal, Tony, Ed and Rudy ......pulling pranks on me -- teasing me for being the WHITEST famiglia --- (Other half of me is WELSH -- my Sister is olive skinned black hair Im white as snow and blonde-- go figure(I was also TALLER than all of them at 13! lol) ------ but I got them back --- Id tell them "I can pass for legal you cant" .......oh the fun we had "bustin balls" --- chasing each other around the yard..........man I miss those guys ...........

Gball, No Del Taco's here either. I like a place in Arbutus called Taqueria El Cabrito. The only bad part is they suck with making an easy to find menu online or even to have a paper copy of in their restaurant. Sort of moronic, but good Mex food for sure.
