I posted a funny reply to SG John and 67 plexi in the Guitar pedal thread about DryBell but didn't want to hijack the thread too bad. SO, I posted this really cool clip. My experience with the whole choosing of cymbals for my own music has been an adventure and while I am sure there are thousands of combinations and preferences, I also really like all my particular cymbals whether they be 9 inch splashes to 21/22 inch inch Rides from Sabian and Zildjian. Of course I have no snootiness against UFIP, Paiste, Istambul etc


 
I played with a drummer for years who refused to use a Ride Cymbal. I couldn't figure out why. I even gave him a nice Ride that came into my possession, and thought maybe he would use it. No, he wouldn't. Even other drummers around town are dumbfounded when asking him why he won't use a Ride Cymbal. I love the sound of a very dynamic Ride.
