Thats a great one!this one
yes but i thought it was the one but its not, i still love that one too. im searching to find it.Thats a great one!
Dio had an eye for amazing guitarists but this was the last album with the legendary Vivian Campbell, who i think was his Randy Rhoads to Dio's Ozzy. Craig Goldy, Doug Aldrich were awesome too. Hell, he even had Jake E Lee and Warren De Martini at certain points with himthis one
I appreciate the compliment TVSuper Tone and cool riffage!
Thank you Norm my friend,Very nice work Mitch!! pinch harmonics and chug, good tone.
Not far off on the nail driving, there Mark, and I thank you for the compliment brother.Mitch, I love watching your clips. Unlike some fellas who RIP it up on their guitars, you remind me of a jackhammer on some of them. Killing it with your right hand. To me it is like watching the right hand of a carpenter who has hammered a million nails over decades of driving 16 d framing sinkers.
sorry it is that oneThats a great one!
That is indeed true! He lashed out years later at Vivian Campbell while he was in Def Leppard for saying Dio was the most miserable cheapskate he ever met. But Vivian was technically right: Vivian got the axe by Dio for money reasons and bailed over to Whitesnake.Dio had his own Gene Simmons moments. Like how he did all he could to short change Vivian Campbell and Vinnie Appice out of their financial cut for their work on the first 3 albums, tours etc. Then when Campbell tried to remind DIO of his promise to compensate them on the 3rd album, he tried to keep pushing off paying and then essentially fired Vivian when he tried to get what he should have fairly received.
Absolutely. Vivian was just a kid basically still and im sure he was loyal as can be to Dio. But if you arent getting paid, you want answers and Dio gave him the boot. Ozzy did that same stuff to his guys for years, especially Lee Kerslake, Jake E Lee, Phil Soussan and Bob Daisley even wrote " No You See it Now You Dont" as a snipe to Sharon Osbourne for making the penny pinching moves over itMike, I saw a clip from Vivian so the story came right from 1/2 of the parties involved mouth,
Vivian actually had a lot of class in how he explained it.
Thank you buddy I appreciate the compliment.Nice playing as always Mitch.
I hear it was Wendy Dio who run the business like Sharon did, they fired and didnt pay many artists.Absolutely. Vivian was just a kid basically still and im sure he was loyal as can be to Dio.
