This really sounds good.

I think I prefer this sound to his Strat.

No disrespect to Strats. I really like them. But, I think this sound is better suited to his style.

I've read that many of his solos were originally recorded in the studio on that '56 Les Paul. Comfortably Numb being one of them.

That’s interesting. So, I wonder why he tends to mostly play his Strat for live use. I wonder if it’s a visual thing or if he prefers the lighter weight of the Strat.

I've seen Pink Floyd and Gilmour as a solo artist many times and never once have I seen him use an LP. He always seemed to switch between his Black Strat and a red one. He is truly a joy to see in concert. Amazing tone.

JUST listen to Dave on the Strat on You Must Be Crazy. I cannot even hear this even coming from an LP even if it has a Bigsby and P90's.

Something about his ethereal sound. Just saying.
