Damn! Computer virus problem.

Still can't get it to work. None of the menus that the Kaspersky explanations tell me will show up do when I put the USB into the PC and try to start it up. I find the USB disk name in the boot menu, but nothing more happens...
 
There are step by step instructions on the page in the link. When the computer is turned on, it needs to boot to the USB disc, not into windows.
 
I know. The problem is that nothing of what is happening is like it says in the instructions on the web page. I guess I'm doing something wrong somewhere. Thankfully my kid is ok with going without the computer for a few days, until we can get someone a bit more computer savvy to look at it.
