That's a great cover. I love totally reimagined covers. Note for note recreations almost never exceed the originals.

I love most music, including a fair bit of disco, so I would put Cake's version of I Will Survive on this list.

It's not a cover. Mickey Newbury wrote it. Kenny Rogers and the First Edition covered it. Mickey was a very prolific songwriter. The list of artists who have recorded his songs is impressive. He was the youngest person to ever be inducted to the songwriters hall of fame.
