Could We Make A Completed Song In 15 Minutes???

This was our question to each other tonight as we wrapped up the days/night's work. Could we knock out a complete, multi-track recording in 15 minutes flat with just a metronome click???

I figured we needed something simple, easy to play, simple structure....Hmmmm....the only song that came to mind was 'Revolution' by The Beatles.

So, we knocked it out, first with guitar and drums tracked simultaneous, but on different tracks, then a rewind with the bass tracks, followed by a second rhythm guitar track and lastly, a one-take, improvised solo.

Here's our 15 minute song - no mixdown, no editing, just a little reverb added:

One rule ive always had is it is against the Law to butcher a Beatles song. My favorite band of al times BUT i enjoyed that emencely. Put some words to that bad boy. AND start on Helter Skelter next . 3 thumbs up Robert.
 
Ok so this got me fired up to start playin at 5.45 am this morning drinkin my coffee.Question for Robert. So when you get to the part of of the song you go to the B When you talk about distruction, then E dont you know that you can (ok here where im lost,) Count Me Out, cant figure the chord progression for that little part. But again ive been inspired :)

It's intimidating doing such a famous work. I really tried to stay faithful to the original arrangement...

Hey, JohnnyGoo...Now, first and foremost, keep in mind that I dropped this song to the key of 'A major' for this production. Guitar is tuned standard (A-440) but the root note is A. Here's some clues:

F# - So, when you talk about - E-- destruction - F# - don't you know that you can ______________________________ Ok,I totally brain-farted and could not recall that progression, so 'on the fly' I muted the notes so they would sound halfway in tune (Let the bass player carry you, so you actually hide behind his notes) and I played this progression ' G# - A - F#" then back to open 'E' for the climb back into the chorus. On the original song, this three-note progression should be 'A - B - G#,' IIRC.

Does that help????

Oh, and that solo is total musical nonsense, but it kinda, sorta fit the melody...

Well i just remebered Revolution 1 is in the key of A i do believe and Revolution 2 is in the key of B. and i didnt have the chord pregression right. But it was 5.30 am and your song got me fired up to play that early. :)
