Know those small desktop fans??? Think it would be worthwhile to aim one into the back of my DSL40C???
Get a proper cooling fan and mount it inside, blowing upwards. A bit of forced cooling is never a bad thing. An external fan blowing at it is going to mostly bounce off the box.
Interesting. I never thought of installing a fan into the cabinet.
What would be a 'proper' coming fan for this job???
Hmmm...I have two, good sized, screened openings in the back....pull through or blowing in??? Which is more efficient???
That's a very useful idea. This is what I use, even though I rarely see the need to use it:Know those small desktop fans??? Think it would be worthwhile to aim one into the back of my DSL40C???

I'll use a fan like this depending on the situation. Two of my amps operate as Class A, which naturally run hot to very hot. Most of the times I'll have the fan on and direct it's air flow to the back of the amp. I like to place the little fan on the floor and point it up. It definitely prevents hot stagnant air from building up despite the obstructions from an open combo or head cabinet. I do not like to place or install the fan so close to the amps chassis where it might induce some electrical noise.
A hardware store gem for $10! This one from Ace/Miners is a "Comfort Zone"... exotic import from China! What brand is that little fan???
