Contrary to popular internet myths...

Mr Astral,
My Princeton got a set of Weber speakers added by me. They are sweet sounding speakers even in an SS amp.
I've heard good things about the Webers! For band-time I use a 1x12 Celestion Gold with mine, for home/recording I usually use the DI, Impulse Responses and my monitors. All the clips I've put up lately were recorded like that.

AT I have a few Cabs. One I want some budget speakers in to resell it.
Then I want to build some custom 2x12 cabs, My current speakers for them are 12 inch Eminence Governors.
Here;s how they sound,

HOLY MOLY OLA makes these sound so good. This other clip the guy make em sound tinny

Yeah, yout00b is not the best place for evaluating... Anything really. That is the only reason I went with a Celestion speaker for my cabinet. I had a V30 that I didn't like with the amp and in that cabinet. Since Celestion have recordings of all their speakers and they're all recorded using the exact same cabinet and mike, I could listen to all of them and conpare. Even if I couldn't tell how the speakers would sound with my stuff, I could compare them to each other. Since I knew what I didn't like about the V30 I also knew what to listen for in the other speakers.

I listened more or less blindly without checking prices or anything first, I wanted the sound alone to decide. Of course the one I wanted turned out to be the most expensive one... I fell for the Celestuon Blue but I needed more power than that so I went with the Gold, as it was closest in sound to the Blue.

So did you end up liking the Gold?

No kidding. The accident put me down for first time in life..got on gear sites to pass time as i was buying some gear more so for something to do. Up till then my music experience was 100% positive. The studio..the stage with other bands..it was always a gear love fest & camaraderie to help one another..
