I'm beyond help. Over the edge. Out to sea.

Did an amp for guitar swap deal yesterday with our ol' bud eSGEe at our regular and always entertaining, MOTM.
However I'm ashamed to say I didn't even get a picture of it, before I proceeded to rip it apart for needed mods.

It's a 90's Epiphone Coronet. Soon to be a Hackmaster Custom.
BUT!
It's not going to be your average run of the mill triple pickup monstrosity.
No, But it will be slightly different from what it is now. Subtle, but different.

Parts are ordered.

Hell, it's three pickup right now when you consider that the bridge pickup is a twin blade humbucker that's
splitable. That and the neck single coil and technically it's three single coils.
 
What's the planned mods there HM ?

I've been ordering parts for my red alumitone mod of a PRS SE. Needed to get plastic black pup rings, flat on both sides, 3mm and 5mm high. I could not find any other than from PRS (not cheap). Then found a close set from Allparts made of ebony. The fretboard is ebony, so a set of those babies will be heading my way. Love it when a not-planned action takes place.

Ordered a sheet of white 4 ply pearl. That volume knob in the pickguard has to go, really in the way.
So I'll make a new 4 ply guard without the knob hole.
Bridge twin blade humbucker is getting swapped for a twin, twin blade humbucker.
That's two separate twin blade humbuckers side by side in the existing humbucker footprint.

Neck pickup will be a single coil size twin blade humbucker.

Switching and other logistics will be decided as needed...

Nice ! I'll be starting a thread on my mods in a few weeks after I finish inhaling vog.
 
So if i got this right you got 2 twin blade humbucker single coil size pups going in the bridge and one twin blade humbucker single coil size going in the neck ? Hummmm, yes interesting. Bigsby maybe ????
 
Figured ya lol.Or maybe one of those old Gibson style blade spring metal trems or what ever you call those.
