Concert stubs!....post 'em if ya got 'em

I have seen a zillion concerts, races, sporting events, and you name it organized events. I've saved many of the stubs over the years, and many I didn't, which I wish I had.

Now a days, you print out a sheet of paper with a bar code...no glamour, and I usually toss it. But, back in the day I kept them all.

I recently found mine in a box in the basement. It's like a photo album of memories..Like when steve vie played my buddies guitar on stage....seeing Yngwie getting hit with a bottle at Toads place.....Pink Floyd in the rain.....front row for Judas Priest....seeing my idol Angus....seeing the final ever game at Yankee stadium....getting banned from Giants stadium for life, and on and on .

I'll show you mine, if you show me yours....

My first real concert. Rainbow...the Scorpions opened up.

Loved seeing Dave Murry and Eddy up close. Went every year for a decade. I almost remember! ....this was when I got my black Stratocaster.

No, I'm not a New Yorker. I live in CT, but I'm only 1 1/2 hours from NYC, so I go frequently. In fact, im going to Port Chester NY tomorrow, to see a band called Galactic.

Someone here must have some crazy stubs.....anyone with the Doors? Zep? AC/DC Bon era? Stones?

We used to sleep out for tickets. In the morning they would pull from a hat for position. At JUDAS PRIEST, I got the prized #1 pull.

Good show Don. That's about the year I saw them, can't find the sub. It was at Giant stadium, and it absolutely poured, and we loved it. Slept in the car....last one to leave.

It was a good show - The Division Bell. They didn't perform on that date though. A few minutes before they were due to come on a temporary seating stand at the back of the hall collapsed and a few people were hurt - fortunately none seriously. They rescheduled a few days later on what was supposed to be a rest night. It was almost midnight when they finished - I don't know if your show was the same.

I think that was the same tour. The show went on without a hitch. Great show.

I had laminated my Floyd ticket stub, and for some reason, the tickets they use at the stadium, are heat sensitive. They turn black when you run it thru the laminator.
Guess I didn't learn my lesson because I tried to laminate my Grateful Dead ticket from the same venue....same results.

Grateful Dead turned black!!

Geezz, ticket stubs sure did loose their nostalgic appeal. My ticket for Yngwie from this past weekend is just a sheet of paper. Not sexy!!

And the price....Well, forget it. The way it is now.

However, there were only like 100 people there, so I thought it was awesome. The guy is out of his mind.

It was worth the price of admission, just to see Marshall Wall!!

I thought most were fake.....until he hit his first note.....wow!

That Marshall wall is 100% fake. It would beam like a searchlight and nobody off to the sides would hear it. Besides, what are all those top boxes supposed to be plugged into? I'm going for a Kemper just out of sight, fed to a decently large PA.
 
Yea, it surely was fake. The bass player was even joking about it during his small talk.
He had a couple going though....and it was pushing air.
 
Actually, the sound tech and light crew had a rough night. He stopped to holler at them a few times....in typical Yngwie fashion..
 
No I haven't johnnygoo. I've always wanted to. I have no idea what it would be like.

He went thru over a dozen that night, and he wasn't kind to most of them.
