This is a One-Take Improv Over a Backing Track of Pink Floyd's 'Comfortably Numb.' Guitar is my Les Paul Replica with Planet Tone Afterburner Bridge and Planet Tone Special 59 Neck. I Switch Through All 21 Tones (From The Jimmy Page Wire Harness) During The Solo, So Some Passages Are Repeated For Comparison. Direct Out via Blackstar ID-Core 100. No FX Used Except Overdrive and Delay.

You can hear me switching between the selector switch and pulling up and pushing down the pots. As a result, there were some errors and no post-recording editing was performed.

Now, for comparison, here is an improv solo I recorded a couple of years ago with the same amp presets (as far as overdrive is concerned anyways) but using the Gibson 498T, which is a very good pickup.

In comparison, the Gibson 498T is about 14k Alnico V whereas the Planet Tone Afterburner is 13.2k AlNico V, but even played on just the bridge with zero FX, the Afterburner is fuller, rounder with less output and no pronounced mid-range hump

I think (not even close to being 100% sure) I heard some RR around the 4:10ish mark. The cadence of the song and the tone would suggest something in the likes of Mr. Crowley but I might be wrong. Most probably am.
