Acetone, use outdoors due to fumes. Wear Gloves.Peeled off the front faceplate of one of my amps and would like to prep it up nice and clean for the new faceplate. Recommendations please...

Goof off is naphtha it might work. But usually acetone will remove cement better.

Better Acetone than MEK. MEK is a real delight...Thanks y'all. Tried acetone and definitely got things moving right away but... Wow! Those fumes.... Switched to Goo Gone and a "white" Scoth-Brite pad, and lots of elbow grease... Done!

I worked at a marina for 7 years before hanging up my time card for the last time Oct 2020. We painted boats. Acetone got used….. A LOT!!! I may have worked behind the parts counter, but pretty sure there were a few days I went home with a buzz on.Thanks y'all. Tried acetone and definitely got things moving right away but... Wow! It's pretty much any PVC which is glued, or any process which requires cleaning for adhesive uses Acetone.And it turns you into a Stoner too...
EDIT: At first I thought the can's labeling said "Stoner Forming"! Oh well...
Fingernail polish remover is acetone.
