Chris Cornell Dead At 52...

BlackSG91 I also suffer from anxiety. I use meds very sparingly and wisely to control it.

Me too...I take medication also which helps with my condition. I've battled alcoholism and went through hell from severe withdrawals. It's no fun at all. I hope things go well for you and keep on track my friend. The future is so bright...you have to wear shades.:)

I've had suicidal tendancies in the past due to my depression and anxiety but now I want to live my life to the fullest. Taking your life away just causes suffering for people who are close to you and care about you.

In Chris Cornell's case drugs has impaired his judgement not realizing how it will affect others like family and friends. He must have been a tortured soul which explains his talent. He sang from the heart and was a down to earth person. I think fame and the dependancy on drugs was ultimately his downfall just like so many other famous people.

It's like Ozzy Osbourne's "Suicide Solution" song which was a warning about taking your own life. We all need to keep in check with our emotions and feelings or else we are doomed.

Glad to hear you've got your depression under control. My mom tried to take her life twice in the past, many many years ago. She also came to terms and has been fine for decades!

Bro according to most sources he had been sober since 2002 . And I believe this so my first thought was suicide ask my wife after hearing it this morning
at 5am out the door I texted her back at 7 am saying suicide ? She replied they aint saying yet about 10 am she text me back he hung himself.
Damn shame I think it was a lot of things that played into it like his divorce and sepperation from his children and other personal type things we can and
do all go thru. loos of his good friend Andrew wood as I said a lot of stuff we all suffer
from in this world . Say hello to Heavin was the best song he ever wrote .
He came from a Island but he died from the STREET and he hurt so bad like a soul breaking
but he never said nothin to me.

That's interesting info franky. Maybe he had a relapse on drugs...who knows? I guess we will find out in the long run. Either way it's a sad situation. Happened many times before with other famous people.

When I came to Audioslave, This song just kills. Freakin A----- COCHISE

Then my other one I am a sucker for is Like a Stone
The hypnotic drum groove and simple bass line are like a magnet to steel. They suck u in and grab hold as Chris moans and wails the lyrics as only he could. And just when it gets u, it sicks that screaming slidey guitar section in on u. Ohhh yeah, subtle slow song and until today I never knew how closely his lyrics would parallel his final day.

I saw Sound Garden back in 1996 at Lollapalooza in Barrie Ontario. Other acts included the Ramones & Metallica, etc. Here's one of my favourite Sound Garden tunes...Rusty Cage.

Believe it or not Johnny Cash did a his own cover of Rusty Cage...good performance.
