Tried to find an existing thread to post this and didn't really find one.... so, what the heck. Easy enough to start a new one. I've mentioned CME on several occasions. Only live about 1 1/2 hours from them. Bought a Taylor from them for my bride. Put me on their emailing list. This is one of their recent ones and thought I'd share. I figure if nothing else, It'll get a chuckle from y'all.

"We (CME) regularly visit the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, TN to hand-select GORGEOUS tops for special runs of CME Spec guitars! Our latest trip included picking out some Koa tops, and we are so excited about how the resulting guitars will look and play! Discover these guitars today on our website, and pre-order the Gibson Custom Shop guitar for YOU today!"

And the link to the page of their website: CME Gibson Exclusive

If you want a Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul now that's what they cost plus you can pick the top wining

Yeah, for the right person that is a great way to get something special. I'm not personally a fan of those lurid tops, but I know that's exactly the kind of thing some people are searching for so this seems a cool way to get it.

I want this one with the phantom werewolf!!
Looks like the knots at the feet would chip out....

Very cool thing to be part of the process / have input to personalize your guitar.
My Jeep isn't worth $7399., soo.... I'm out.

Y'know, I do understand why this would appeal to someone. Not my thing at all, and I tend to prefer solid colors anyway, but I do get it.
Honestly, the only thing I would buy from the Custom Shop is a Les Paul Custom, and that's only because they don't make them on the USA line any more.
