Check out what just came in the mail

That Strat is confusing me. What model is it?
I’ve only ever seen it at Sweetwater...... once. Not sure what that means. It’s a MIM. It’s basically a standard Strat. Ash body. Maple neck and board. It has a push button between the tone pots. Push it and it brings the bridge pickup into the mix in positions 4 and 5. In essence. Sorta becomes a seven position switch. I added the pearl white pick guard and the knobs with abalone tops. Also swapped the saddles and string trees.

Edit: Officially, it’s called a Fender Deluxe Strat. It might have been a very short lived offering.... as in, I might have gotten lucky. Check out this link: Fender Deluxe

Interesting. The only MIM Deluxe Strats I have seen had 6 screw trems. I guess they changed that at some point.

Nice Strat BTW. :H5:

Thank you. I was not in the market for a new guitar in general or a Strat in particular. Then I saw this model at Sweetwater.... don't remember catalog or online. And I got me some serious GAS. As I look into it now..... I may have a unicorn on my hands. I get the feeling there were not many made. It just got even cooler.
