Wav, I stopped twisting my own wrench a few years ago, but I am aware of the issue you face. I used to take the old part with me to the parts house, so I could compare mountings, etc. My s.i.l. orders parts for their Kia Sorrento from a catalog with about 90% success.

I ordered it online. I called them Friday to try and pick it up but they only sell online. They have thousands of sales with 99% good reviews. I have already contacted them through eBay, just waiting for a response.
 
Yeah, I knew you said that. Can u post year make and model of car, engine specs and the ebay seller name so I can check info out and get back to you?

Once, while I worked at a Porsche and Audi shop I called my customer to let him know he needed some cooling system fixes. I reached his secretary instead. She said she'd speak to him then get back to me. When she called back, she said, Mr So n SO says his car doesn't have a cooling system.

Grant, from what I see in the Ebay ad photos vs. your pics, it doesn't look like the same radiator,,,,,,,, as in the one in your box isn't the one pictured.
The one pictured in the ad looks like the tabs are closer together plus has those extra holes that I do not see in the one in your photo. Correct me if I am wrong at what I see. It is entirely possible they had the wrong item in the box, or some other mix up. I cannot count on both hands how many times I have had a box with a proper part number but wrong part inside, and vice versa.

They just sent me a return shipping label. The picture is just a generic stock photo for all the radiators that they sell. Evo 7/8/9 never came with a auto trans and that picture shows the tranny cooler fittings. Time to search for a new radiator.
 
Well Intercourse me a runnin!!!!

The new radiator arrived today!!! Came home after work, changed into grease monkey cloths, unpacked the new radiator and it almost fit. Notice pics below of the fan shroud mounting pins/holes.

What I did not notice was the scuffed up rubber cap for the lower radiator hose...
 
Being impatient (If I had any patients, I would have been a doctor) I decided to open the holes myself and get this thing back on the road. so I did and made it fit! After ensuring that the fan shroud I pulled of the red covers on the hose outlets to find the lower one D shaped...
