The radiator hoses and belts I replaced during the three years I owned one of those would easily stretch from Sacramento to Fremont. I cannot remember a road trip that did not include a required pit stop to repair one or both issues.
I found the 4.6L Saleen a vast improvement.
Wav, I stopped twisting my own wrench a few years ago, but I am aware of the issue you face. I used to take the old part with me to the parts house, so I could compare mountings, etc. My s.i.l. orders parts for their Kia Sorrento from a catalog with about 90% success.
