The radiator on my car started to leak from the top where the crimp the plastic top to the aluminum core. So I ordered a trick all aluminum radiator online so this would never happen again. Came home from work, pulled the old radiator out and guess what? The new trick radiator will not work. The mounting tabs for the electric fan housing do not line up! Green arrows show correct location, red arrows show where it does not line up!!! ARGH!!!

Go to Home depot and grab a section of flat, aluminum stock and make a few small brackets bridge the gaps....for the lower mounts, bend the brackets in a vise into a "dropped" shape.

I agree with Goo, that does look like a nice piece.
Sux big time the fitment issue though.
I hope this has a happy outcome for you, Grant.
Good luck my friend.

I use to own a 70 challenger. And yes Goo it is a bad ass radiator. 3 rows instead of the stock 2 rows

On the 7th day God created the Hemi!

My Hemi's were not as good on the street as my 440's. Hemi had no bottom end - it behaved like a huge small block Chevy - the dual AFB's were not crisp, even with a killer tune. My 440's were faster everywhere - felt faster too - the only place the Hemi shined was above 6,000 rpm - where I didn't spend a lot of time...

and I will tell you this...my 11.25:1 SCR 429 Ford SCJ (a 1970 engine installed in my 1972 Torino) absolutely devoured Hemi's...with a 4.30:1 gear it was unstoppable...

My buddy had a 440 six-pack 'Cuda with a shaker hood. I loved that car. Hemis need a blower to come alive and that was a strip bred machine.

That is a good looking radiator though...

I never liked Chevy, but built a few for dirt track racing. Our most successful was a 350 SBC block with a 262 CID Chevrolet (75-76 Nova) solid-throw crank and custom pistons by Jahns. The result was a 312 CID Chevy V8, and, when coupled with an 8.14:1 FDR, nobody could beat it....

That would be Ford Mustang GT350....:)
The radiator hoses and belts I replaced during the three years I owned one of those would easily stretch from Sacramento to Fremont. I cannot remember a road trip that did not include a required pit stop to repair one or both issues.
I found the 4.6L Saleen a vast improvement.
Wav, I stopped twisting my own wrench a few years ago, but I am aware of the issue you face. I used to take the old part with me to the parts house, so I could compare mountings, etc. My s.i.l. orders parts for their Kia Sorrento from a catalog with about 90% success.

I bet there is a variation in model and they might have one for your car with the proper arrangement. Send them the photo you posted here. Either that or a different electric fan is meant for the new Alum one.

Also, what are those 3 other plastic mount looking things with holes in them on the plastic ended old one? The new Alum one dos not have these.
