Ceriatone OTS Mini 20 Combo

Ray sounds like a low plate 100k 1.5k V-1 & V-2 Did you get a foot switch to activate the Pab and overdrive switches on the back of the amp.
And I'm not hearing the clean sustain that would be your phase inverter adjustment. Pab = Pre-amp boost. V-3 7.3 dcv pin 1 and pin 6 difference.
Your overdrive trimmer 100k should be set at 24k for starters use a non conductive screwdriver when adjusting the trimmers.

When tuned your new amp should be capable of this video.

Thanks Plexi! I will try to answer the best I can.

The V1 and V2 are TAD EC883. Any suggestions?

I have the footswitch, and it is engaged for the recording. As I understand it, this means the OD trim, level and ratio knobs are in play. No boost, or midrange boost was used. I do have the FX loop buffered with the Klienulator and backed off the send by 25%. The bright swich is engaged for the return

I will look into a PI adjustment and may have more questions, thanks!

Thr OD trim is an external knob. I do not know the values, but it is set at 12 o'clock in the first clip. I set it for 1 o'clock in the second clip, but also raised the level and ratio. Where could I measure the values of the ID trim?

I have dug that Robin Trower tune for a while now, particularly that clip. Maybe someday!

Ceriatone King Kong anyone?

No idea what it is, but came across while looking at the classifieds in Korea...

I bet Robert would like/love it...

I swapped the China Celestian Vintage 30 for a WGS ET65. The clip is recorded with the Audix A5 on the amp (I adore this mic- it portrays a very accurate represetation of the room) and an MXR pencil condenser mic on the backing track. Same
Les Paul, similar amp settings. TB Don mentioned that this speaker might need breaking in. It does sound a stiff, but still not bad

Alright Ray! I’m glad that you like the mic!

That sounds better than mine did when it was fresh. Perhaps you’re going to have a better break in than I did. Mine was more nasal sounding out of the box. I hated it.

Yours sounds much less scooped than the V30. There is a lot more mid content there. The high end seems a bit “new speaker” brittle, but I’m not in the room...could be the pencil mic. Maybe the pencil could be eq’d a bit? Maybe -3 or -4db high shelf at around 6K?

It sounds good though...very crisp.

Thanks and good advice Don. I have been trying to prove to myself that I can capture the room. Now I will work on altering it.
