Ceriatone British Style Plexi 20

Well, it's happening. Just got the details all sorted out with Nik. I'm getting the complete head minus tubes.

...except mine will will have black control plates with white lettering, black piping and string, black logo and knobs. Like this but with black knobs...

I'm hoping it will make it not so Marshall looking so maybe the little head box won't look so funny. I was going to just get the amp without a headbox, but when I checked the price for a custom head shell it'll cost less to just get his for now, plus it won't stone-hinge a small cab so my 112 cab options open up.

It'll be about 4-6 weeks, maybe a little longer because of the custom control plates. It's gonna be a tough wait!
It’s almost all transformer, lol
Gorgeous design, I see the bias test location on the back

And you can build the kit.

When I first decided I wanted one of these I was going to build the kit. Then the more I thought about it I wasn't sure I wanted to take that on so I decided I'd get the complete assembled board and chassis so all I would need is tubes and a head shell. Then after considering the cost of a custom head shell (and shipping cost) it made more sense to me to just go ahead and get the whole thing minus tubes.

I was looking at the slo clone ( naked) on Rob Robenett’s page. I sort of thought of building one, just for a moment.
I have a King Kong and really like it as well, on the dirt side I had Nik make it a Chupacabra. I wanted something different as well and have been waiting for ever to try his FAS amp to come out. (SLO) When it did I checked out the videos and it sounded just like Nik’s, so I ordered one. 100w and added a 1/2 power switch, SRV mod, and a PPIMV. Once I got used to it I love the thing, does a ton of stuff very well. I kinda think of it as a cross between a Marshall and a Mesa for the most part. But there are a lot of tones you can get out of it with all the switches. If you get the chance try one, incredible amp, the “feel” you get playing it is pure power.

Pffffft.... thanks for the relapse, I was just getting my GAS under control after Fitz hinted me in that direction again! I'm going to reach out to Nik and see what he knows about the shipping/import situation. I can't be the only one, right.

Did you actually get a schematic with yours? On the site they annoyingly only offer a layout.

Congrats man, enjoy,great amps.

I just can’t get past that headshell shape. I’m shallow, aesthetics are important to me. :p

I hear ya. I'm the same way so I really hope I'm not making a mistake. One reason I did the small head is because I planned to flip my EVH 212 vertical and it would sit perfect on top. As of today I'm having second thoughts about the cab. :ROFLMAO:

But still, most 112 cabs are small and it might look good on any smaller cab and I could have some fun trying different cabs if I can't find another Eminence cab when I get ready to buy one.
