Tame your amp with a super low efficiency speaker?

I wonder how this will be demonstrated at NAMM which starts in a couple of days.

With two dozen other 12" guitar speaker "flavors" in the current Celestion product mix, I'm wondering what this speaker is going to sound like.

"Featuring a unique dual voice coil design, this attenuating speaker works together with an amp, like a conventional guitar speaker, only with significantly reduced output sensitivity. Enabling you to drive your amplifier harder while still listening at reasonable volume levels. Load it into your cab and the Peacekeeper will attenuate your amplifier in the most natural way possible, with zero additional colouration or tonal compromise."

This will be the 3rd attenuating speaker, not a new idea at all.
#1 Fluxtone
#2 Eminence
#3 Celestion Peacekeeper

The 3rd in a long line of things to come.
It won't be long until attenuating speakers replace master volume controls entirely.

I’m thinking that if one wants to crank their 50 watt amp, they’ll need to have two of the Peacekeepers connected to the amp. If it’s a 100 watt amp, maybe four Peacekeepers will be needed. Or at least three of them…

yes
The speakers should be rated 2X the power of the amplifier at least.
