So my instructor this past week asked me if I liked any of their songs. I said no, I never liked their music. He said no. I said no. Must be just me, I have been asked this many times people look surprised? I guess I must be the only guy on the planet that doesn't EH!:D

On a more serious note:

At least here there seems to be two camps when it comes to CCR. Those who love them (like me) and those who can't really take them at all. Regarding the second group, I think a lot of it has to do with where CCR was played for many years. In the late '80s and '90s, their music was typically played in bars where country music was played a lot. And country music tends to be frowned upon by a lot of people here. So CCR has had a sort of stigma attached to them because of that. These days that have become rather popular again.

I discovered Creecence when I was in middle school. We were doing a week of work experience, and I was working as a sideman for a truck driver. He used to listen to CCR and Ian Hunter all the time. I had bought my first electric guitar just a week or two before this. The first guitar solo I ever learned was the one in "Up Around the Bend".

I used to dislike them a lot, except for Centerfield. I have more of an appreciation after watching a live performance. Except for Suzie-Q. Never Suzie-Q.

Saw Fogherty (with ZZ Top as the opener, which was odd) last year.
Great.
I dig CCR; but am mostly familiar with the hits ; Greatest Hits CD, etc.

I want «As Long as I Can See the Light» to be played in my funeral. One of my favorite songs ever.

First Concert i ever seen. I was 13 years old.1971 at Memorial Colosium in Portland Oregon. Still dig CCR. Even my Father liked them :)

Both Fogarty brothers were and one still is master rhythm players. John is the king of catchy riffs and Tom was the king of background rhythm. Together they had a sound that is immediately identifiable and toe tappable. For years they were one of my favourite bands. Then for a while I dismissed them as too simple. Now I've switched again and study the way they fill out a simple song and make it their own. Many of their big hits are covers of old songs that people now identify as CCR songs. That is hard to do.

I'm a CCR/JF fan. One of my first albums was Cosmo's Factory. Ray, I'm guessing there's a Suzie somewhere in your past life :( I had a friend that I jammed with for a few years that absolutely would never-ever-ever want to play Brown Eyed Girl. Had something to do with his Ex.....

Unfortunately, You'll probably be unable to hear it on that occasion ;-)

I like the intelligent lyrics in most of their songs. Well , maybe with the exception of "Sweet Hitch Hiker" - but despite of the text that a powerful Rock'n Roll number (and if You're rockin' and rollin' lyrics usually not very important, right?)

:cheers:Thanks for showing flatrockmobile. I don't know these fellas, but I like them. Right away the lead singers voice reminded me of another singer, Marty Stuart. I like the sound of that song.
