Cavity paint-----er

That's a better deal than the stuff I priced out about 5 years ago. Did you use this product only in the control cavity?
I did yes, only in the Control Cavity on the SG (the pickup cavity HAD shielding---copper tape---
On the Bass I did just the pickup cavities---the control cavity allready had shielding

Just an FYI, I want a right of first refusal if you ever part with this one. I love it!!

How does it sound with the new pup?

NEW pup is brighter (hotter) I think than the original --it Sounds AMAZING for its "caliber" as a no name knock off. ---- to be fair--- I believe Owegi, and Johnny Goo are all ready in line on "dibs" on this one..........I can place you in the third slot------ IF I ever let it go---but maybe you can convince them to bow out?

Dont spend much time on it though as this one is a keeper ----for sometime at least. I had ALMOST decided to trade it off----- then I figured "what the hell I will give the paint a try" .......it made such an improvement the decision to pull her from the "flip pile" was easy, and instant.

Did it make a difference by adding the shielding to the pup cavity?

Is the pups cavity shielding grounded to either the pups cabling or the control cavity shielding?

Aw hell eESGe i got 2 nice JRs i built so stick RVA in my spot in the JR line :) I do love the color of that JR.
Now all I have to do is get a hold of the Owegi fella! And remind esge that he has too many guitars anyway!

#2 with a Bullet RVA!!!

Sysco.....it did seem to make a difference in the Foundation bass cavity area....now----- I can not gurantee if that was due to the paint--- OR due to the bridge pup magnets FALLING OUT of the cover when I took it off they are basically 2 smaller (P bass) pups in line.....and the glue that was in between them had come out allowing the 2 halves to touch at the magnets.......I replaced the glue/rubber bumper between them ---- this MAY have done MORE than the paint---- however i did run the paint "down the hole" to the control cavity shielding so ---it "should" be grounded......sort of......

HEll I just make this poop up AS i GO GUYS (ha surprise---PROBABLY NOT)

Perhaps a trade could be formulated.........I have an SG --- I DONT have a PRS shaped beastie ..............just saying lol

That may not be a straight up trade situation. Anyway, you all know that my guitar stable is a one way path to the barn!

HEy ---it was worth a shot ;)

The SG Jr. build quality is on par with the Korean PRS stuff......very well made. and now it sounds as good as it looks.....yeah your right you would have to include some $$$ or a pedal or something :pound-hand::pound-hand::pound-hand::rolf::rolf::run::run::run::pound-hand::pound-hand::pound-hand::wink:

After reading this thread, I bought some shielding paint for my Destroyer, which has a persistent grounding buzz I am trying to knock out..

how far will that bottle go?
3-4 thin coats in a 2 pickup 2 tone 2 volume cavity - estimate on how many guitars will that bottle do?

I have use the same bottle for 2 guitars, Owegi borrowed and used some on at least one guitar I believe....and I still have about 1/4 bottle left.....so......it goes rather far IMHO
